I'll probably get shot for this, but honestly. Churches and Religious groups DO have the right to refuse to marry same-sex couples.

Now before I get shot >.>; Being a lesbian, I obviously support it =P and I understand the desire to want to get married in a church, as I share that dream myself ^^ But one problem I have with this bill, is that the churches and religious groups could face legal attacks if they refuse. Granted it's unfair to us if it gets shot down, but if it goes through, isn't it unfair that they have their right to refuse, and face legal attacks simply because they do not approve?

Honestly, If it comes at the cost of another's rights. I can wait for same-sex marriage. I don't care if they approve of us or not, but the least we can do is respect their rights, even if they are unwilling to respect ours.

Plus, It's not like some big fancy wedding ceremony determines if we can spend our lives together. Isn't making vows to commit to one another in private a bit more romantic? and authentic >.> since marriage in general among straight people means pretty much nothing now.

well, that's my opinion anyhow. I'll always vote "yes" to allowing gay marriage and "No" to banning it. i just hope someone doesn't loose their rights so I can have mine. and now i'm shutting up -hides in armor- =x

I th9nk you have it wrong Karin the way I read it it allows religious groups the freedom to choose not to perform them if they so choose

that is the way it is in Canada where I live where same sex marriage is perfectly legal

thank you ris-san!! as always! i was a bit surprised that sugi accepted and is supporting akko's feelings toward mari because it was mentioned in the previous chapters that "sugi-san hates this kind of thing," but it was sort of expected anyway.

i hope mari doesn't misunderstand akko's confession.. because i have a feeling that she's way too confused 'cause she probably hasn't even considered akko liking her in any way similar than she does for akko, and now suddenly akko confesses to her (that was very brave of akko by the way! excellent job akko! i like the line that she says as she was leading to her confession: "Just being friends with you... is something I can no longer even imagine..." XD) out of the blue in her perspective. but regardless, mari better not reject this direct confession! looking forward to the next chapter. :D
